Special Lamps

Our lamp technology in the service of industry. Light is now used in a very wide range of industries as a technically, economically and ecologically superior alternative to conventional processes. It is used, for example for:

  • curing
  • drying
  • thermo-forming
  • artificial material aging
  • sterilizing

There are also a number of classic industrial applications for light which would be impossible without these special lamps. These include:

  • exposure of printing plates
  • exposure of photo-resist material in the manufacturing process of printed circuit boards
  • fluorescence excitation for material analysis

Specialists in ultraviolet and infrared.

UV-IR, our new Business Unit, offer a wide and innovative range of products designed to meet the growing demands from industrial companies. In addition to lamps for the broad spectrum of ultraviolet applications and environmentally friendly water treatment methods, there are infrared lamps for industrial and private use.

The ultraviolet and infrared product categories comprise efficient high-performance lamps and systems.

The ultraviolet lamps work by inducing physical effects, such as disinfection, with a particular wavelength spectrum. To ensure that these special lamps are easy for end customers to use, we also offer a selection of systems in which the special lamps are already integrated. This provides high levels of reliability and effectiveness.

The wide range includes both tubular and compact versions. All discharge lamps are energyefficient but there is also a high-performance class of high-intensity discharge lamps. In addition to domestic applications such as pond filtration, ultraviolet lamps are also used in industrial production processes such as hardening special plastics, adhesives, varnishes and paints.

The infrared lamps essentially produce heat. With their short-wave radiation they penetrate perfectly to where the heat is needed. This reduces heat losses and improves efficiency. Here too, the range includes a selection of high-quality systems in which the lamps are already integrated. These systems have been designed for professional applications, such as beer gardens and restaurant forecourts, but are also used in domestic settings, for example as heat sources in rooms. Infrared lamps also cover a wide range of application in industry, such as plastics processing and paper manufacture.
